Jungle Kit
I donated this kit to some guys going on an expedition for charity to the Peruvian Amazon this month. It mainly consists of survival gear items that can be worn on the person (firesteels, ceramic striker, water purification tablets, day/night signal device, compass etc.) plus some Go-Tubes and a 6” Stash Bomb Mk2 (ABS black & grey) with self-adhesive Zero Dark Credit Card and SOLAS disc installed.
The storage tubes will keep items dry in the jungle that has a high relative humidity (over 75%). The cord is HBT715 (Hybrid Technora, 550 outer and Technora 410 inner core) so no issues with rot & mildew.
It will be interesting to see how the Schrade 501 folding knife holds up. The blade is stone washed 9Cr18MoV high carbon stainless steel partially serrated drop point blade. The handle is black G-10 with stone washed steel insert, spine & grip jimping, lanyard slot, glass breaker and pocket clip.
Should have some nice pictures of the gear out in the jungle coming up!
