Guns save life. More guns not less. More knives too. We cant even bow hunt here, we have a deer and boar problem. Wonder why
Guns are not illegal, they are restricted!
If you want one, you apply for a licence and prove you have somewhere to use it.
Pistols, semi automatic and full automatic weapons are not illegal either, if they were our police or armed forces who have to abide by the same laws would not be able to use them. Although the later three are not licences for civilian use
