stash-its: The Humble Stash-It, Hydrophobia: The Coyote Tan...

The Humble Stash-It, Hydrophobia:

The Coyote Tan Stash-It is proving just as popular as the Black version. But here is something that some people didnt know. They are quite water resistant due to the 420D material we use. You can treat them to make them 100% waterproof if you wanted too. As a few people have asked if that is possible, here is how I would do it.

Nikwax TX would be the best method, mixing a cap full of the TX with half a bucket of water and letting it soak for about half an hour, then simply letting it dry naturally.

The alternative would be Nikwax Tent & Gear Solarproof. This is a ready mixed spray, you just hang the Stash-It on the washing line and spray it on, leave it for five minutes and wipe the excess off. Once its dry your set for action. For best results dampen down the material first. Dont forget to pay extra attention to the seams for total proofing.

I must stress, this is not really required but a few people have asked if its possible to make it 100% waterproof.
