The UltraLight MultiMap was designed to fill a need by special request. The simplest solution to a problem, but the more we looked at the solution the more uses we could find for it. This is simplicity.
When packed its a 2” x 2” bag with a folded section of our fabric, when unfolded its a 11.5” x 8” or workspace ready for writing/planning/sketching on. We’ve all seen a rupert break out a tin with models in it and carefully construct a scale model. Sometimes time is genuinely of the essence so key important features are what is required. Draw that onto the Ultralight MultiMap and everyone can visualise the situation.
Draw a map with as much or as little detail as you need in a lot less time. You can use this alongside of an Admin Kit to keep important key facts to hand. In the need of rescue but had to move from your last known location to find shelter for reasons of safety? Leave key details on the MultiMap at the location, how many in your party, injuries or any other information that helps them find you! You can even use it to attract attention to yourself if required.
Leaving your vehicle and heading off into a new area or terrain? Leave the date and time you left, planned route and any stop off with expected ETA on the MultiMap on your drivers seat. Add any further contact details you can to assist. Any park warden or ranger finding the vehicle will know who it belongs too and if you are not back with a given time frame can alert rescue services and family.
Create a packing list, note key details, write your medical allergies or other contact information on and repack until its required. Hundreds of uses and so light you wont know you are carrying it.
Resistant to smudging, hot cut to prevent fraying and can be destroyed without catching fire removing all traces of information. Can be written on in pencil or ideally pen for best visibility.
