Paul Kirtley’s Blog

Recently a friend recommended I check out a guy called Paul Kirtley. He’s a professional bushcraft instructor and is “one of only a few people worldwide who have been recognised by Ray Mears as a bushcraft instructor” which is quite an achievement. He writes a really interesting blog and if you sign up to the mailing list you actually get a really personal email (which makes a change) from him, including videos and links to his latest posts.

Above top is Paul's On Person Kit that appeared in one of his latest posts, including: pocket knife, firesteel, hudsalva, paracord, small first aid kit, compass, map, boiled sweets, automatic watch. Above bottom is his Main Kit List For Norwegian Ski Touring. You can find the full breakdown of everything pictured plus some amazing insight into his trip and methods here.

I really recommended visiting his site here

Don’t hesitate about signing up for his email updates either.
