selenesurvivalgoddess: Do you know your stones? If nothing...

selenesurvivalgoddess:

Do you know your stones? If nothing else, know how to identify flint. Scout around freshwater shores or a location with a large variety of rocks.

Flint is usually dark grey, black, green, white or brown in color, and often has a glassy or rough, waxy appearance.

To test for flint, use a steel knife and strike it against the stone. If sparks fly after several attempts, then you’ve scored a piece of flint. Rock on!! 🔥🔥🔥
