selenesurvivalgoddess: Bolas are a silent throwing weapon...

selenesurvivalgoddess:

Bolas are a silent throwing weapon invented by the Inca people (most famous in Argentina), used for entangling the legs of prey so that they trip and fall. They generally consist of 3 weights at the ends of 3 interconnected cords. The bola is whirled like a sling, then thrown parallel to the ground to entwine the quarry’s legs. Stones are usually used for weights and wrapped in leather and attached to strong cordage. It usually works best if one weight is lighter than the other two. #Survival #Bushcraft #Bolas #Bola #IncaTools #IncaWeapons #Hunting #PrimitiveWeapons #Bushcraft #SouthAmericanBushcraft
